Soulacoaster

I can’t see much wrong with writing a blog which is a plug for the excellent work produced by my own kids. So this one is all about the album Soulacoaster, recently released by my son, Morgan (aka Soulpersona) with the album artwork created by son number two, Tom, (aka Tukka).

Together they run the indie (independent) record label, Digisoul. The album Soulacoaster is collaboration between many musicians from across the globe. The internet provides the medium of communication, while the nerve-centre for musical production is a small studio in a terraced house in North London. I continue to be utterly astonished by what can be achieved over the world wide web!

Morgan grasped the nettle of financing the mechanical production of the album, albeit a fairly short run initially. But within a week of its release he had made his money back! A second production run is planned soon. But the really good news is that within the niche of Soul music, this album has been very warmly received, gaining some terrific reviews internationally. You can, of course, buy the album at the Digisoul website.

If you read Morgan’s blog you will deduce that he is extremely focussed, (which is a polite way of saying he’s headstrong, stubborn and uncompromising!) Being signed to one of the major labels would simply not suit him because he detests the commercialism and the manipulative methods of the modern music industry. He also has particular words of wisdom to say about The X-Factor, and I agree with his sentiments whole-heartedly!

Some kind of cartoon is called for.
